SOLVIS, the Swiss IT Security specialist with a focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and adhoc International specialist on Performance Engineering Solutions, have entered into a collaboration agreement. The two companies, both Basel based, intend to propose to their customers a total expertise in the domain of enterprise performance and IT security. Towards the Maturity Era of IT Performance
In the beginning, we had low-level system programming. Programs consisted of instructions directly accessing computing resources. Then, performance became a major concern to the program and system designers, especially because of the limited computing capacity available.
Later, when the first business-relevant systems appeared, IT performance concerns continued to be strongly related to the resource usage in terms of CPU, memory and I/O. However, performance and tuning specialists became involved in design decisions as well as in development, with more structured and procedural programming languages.
The rapid evolution of computing hardware gave IT professionals huge opportunities in terms of resources and performance, while the business relevance of IT systems increased. A kind of an informal “convention” took place...

adhoc Performance Studio

adhoc Performance Studio is an integrated and extensible platform for Performance Engineering. It combines tools for the modeling of performance requirements, the design and execution of load testing sessions, the analysis of KPI values, and reporting.
adhoc Performance Studio integrates performance data from different sources by making use of connectors and collectors, that feed that data to an aggregation server (the Kernel) in a consistent and scalable fashion. Once available from the Kernel, the different analysis and reporting tools can be used, irrespective of the actual source of the data.
The notion of a Performance Project is integral to the adhoc Performance Studio, and ensures that all the information, documents, load testing scripts, settings are stored in central workspace, that can be versioned using a number of Source-Code Management systems. Furthermore, a publishing server makes it easy to share documents within a team.
Version 3.5.1 of adhoc Performance Studio comes optionally with a plug-in for CA Wily Introscope, a leading APM solution. With this plug-in, it becomes possible to view all the metrics supplied by an Enterprise Manager in the Console’s KPI Explorer, and their values in the Monitoring View. The KPI Data Source allows the building of reports based on those same metrics. Finally, a new view gives access to the Introscope WebView dashboards.

CA EXPO 2009 Paris

JAZOON 2008

For the second time, adhoc participated to the European Conference on JAVA Technology next June 2008.
Within one of the Jazoon Labs, adhoc instructed and presented its solution "An eclipse based integrated Solution for performance measurement and validation of J2EE applications".
The 33 participants had the opportunity to experience the presented performance assurance approaches by actively participating to solve conceptual and implementation-oriented exercises with a sample J2EE application.
